AMERICA CAME FROM THE BIBLE, INFLUENCED SOMEWHAT BY THE FRENCH ENLIGHTENMENT

       Personally, I think this is a great historical and analytical starting line for thought and an intellectually curious endeavor.  You see, Christianity had an “enlightenment” through Jesus the Son of God that ties conveniently under our principles of freedom of the individual given to us only by God and nothing manmade.  Clearly, the American revolution stems from the Bible.  Just read the notes, letters, and writings of our founding fathers.  The French revolution came from enlightenment that we as young Americans had already been exposed to.  Both, indeed, were quite different in their revolutionary approach.

       There were two very different views of humanity and liberty.  The American version was ensconced in Christian values and the French more in existential philosophy absent of God.  So, if I look historically at the American Revolution, it is totally realistic as I believe the Bible empirically is.  There exists this whole intention of checks and balances throughout the Scripture that ties to history, science, geography, and archeology.  Jesus was a proponent of checks and balances (how many times did he put the Jewish religious leadership in check?), separation of powers, and the big one of ambition to serve God, to counteract selfish ambition—remember, money, control, and power.

       James Madison learned from John Witherspoon, who was a Scottish-American Presbyterian (NOT like today’s version) pastor, signer of the Declaration of Independence, and devout member of the Black Robe Regiment. He was critical in framing the Articles of Confederation and Madison was one of his finest students.  These men were learned scholars, FIRMLY founded in Biblical principle as Jesus directed.  All of this stems from a view of inherent sin and fallibility—we all are sinners—until saved by grace—but the work set before us is grave in repentance and obedience. 

       Comparatively with the French and Russian Revolutions—and truly Chairman Mao’s Chinese Revolution were all utopian in thought and cruel methodology.  Essentially, like an Ocasio or Mamdani New York City—release the chains and we will all be free—but, someone has to pay for it.  Therein lies the gap.

       We have a very sincere gap in revolutions that threaten our great Christian democratic republic between the real and idealic and the utopian.  I see the very same in denominational religion.  As Americans and Christians, either we stand in the gap, or we don’t…pretty simple. 

       What we are seeing now is that the “utopian revolutions” are violent and murderous and render a VERY different rhetoric than what we see on the conservative side of the argument.  No different than Israel seeking a king and Messiah that would come to slay the Romans or others.  No.  Jesus came in a different fashion that was real, personal, and provided freedom and liberty.

       I believe we are a crumbling nation from within, and we brought it on ourselves.  Removal of God and you have no foundation and that lack of foundation and feminist “I can do it all” means absent fathers, overly stressed and neurotic mothers, rendering confused children with identity crises.  This all falls in with the Communist Manifesto of not only destroying education breaking the foundation of the home.

       Last time I checked—and I check often—with Godly men this means strong fathers, thus strong families, thus a strong society.  One nation under God has proven results.
