HAMAS = VIOLENCE IN THE SCRIPTURE

Recently I went back and forth with a slow person, retarded in her thought process about taking Scripture out of context.  This just fuels me in my study.  I have other acquaintances who have told me I may be too abrupt, but quite frankly, I just don’t have the patience for stupidity as everyone has a choice to learn and grow.  Doing a little research today with a dear friend and Biblical scholar and he tipped me off on something that threw me in the rabbit hole of intellectual digging.  Let me surprise you all with some statistics that I gleaned.  This will shock many of you so-called Christians.  Just remember, if you send your kids to college with Caesar, they WILL certainly come back Romans.

According to a recent Rasmussen Poll, overall 21% of likely American voters hold a positive view of Sharia law.  In ages 18-24, 43% view Sharia positively, ages 25-29% hold a positive view, and ages 40 and older actually hold a 16% positive view.  Oh, it gets better, by the way, great job suicidal empath feminists and beta males.  It gets better, about 25% of those surveyed said that they would support allowing a town, city, or state to impose Sharia law if a majority of local citizens favored doing so.  Welcome Quincy, Illinois…useful idiots on the city council.

So, to my feminists and beta males let’s examine Sharia Law versus our Constitution.  Our Bill of Rights came AFTER the foundational document of our Christian ethic Constitution.  Sharia law, like our Constitutional structure to include our Bill of Rights, is considered to be broader than the legislated “law.”    In an Islamic theocracy, Sharia is a NOT a single rigid legal code.  It is a broad spiritual path and moral framework, much like Christianity—and here is where we culturally divide.

Like in Christianity there is a diversity of interpretation.  Like in America, in Islam there are differing views of jurisprudence or “madhabs” like Hanafi, Malikii, Shaf’I, Hanbali, and Ja’fari, with the first four belonging to the Sunni and the last belonging to the Shia.  The big difference is that Sharia Law is everything with no Bill of Rights.  In America, for some of us our Constitution weighs heavily, but we argue more on Bill of Rights functions for an orderly society.

Let’s look at “rights” of women under Sharia.  Under traditional jurisprudence or “fiqh” a woman’s testimony in Sharia court only holds half the weight of a man’s (Quran 2:282).  Another one for feminists, is “wilayah” or male guardianship, where a male must approve major life decisions for a woman to include marriage and often times travel and employment.  While men traditionally hold the unilateral right to divorce (talaq), women face higher legal hurdles and must often petition a religious court (qadi) or negotiate specific contractual terms (talaq at-tafwid or khul') to dissolve a marriage.  To be brutally honest after losing everything multiple times in my life—this isn’t a bad idea.  This also includes child custody where in many traditional personal status codes, custody of older children is systematically transferred to the father or paternal family after the children reach a specific age.

Oh, it gets better especially in the range of “domestic discipline.”  Conservative interpretations of certain texts (Quran 4:34) have been cited to justify or minimize physical discipline by husbands over perceived nushuz (disobedience or marital rebellion), although to be fair, modern reformists argue these interpretations distort the ethical spirit of Islam.  Please realize that there has NEVER been a reformation or enlightenment in Islam.

Let’s go down another path in the word “hamas” (חَמָס) as this word in Hebrew appears (according to my Strongs H2555) roughly 60  times in the Old Testament and is generally translated as “violence, wrong, or cruelty.”  Coincidence?  The Arabic acronym stand for Harakat al’Muqawama al’Islamiya, or the Islamic Resistance Movement, and the actual Arabic word “hamas” (حماس) translates to “zeal” or “strength.”   Coincidence?  Words mean things.

Let’s look at Genesis 6:11 in the time before the flood.  “Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with “violence”.”  That word “violence” in the Hebrew is indeed “hamas” but it also translates into a broader term of  “cruelty, injustice, harm, wrong, injustice, and…get this, LAWLESSNESS.”

Just a reminder…don’t go through life being stupid.  You have a choice.
