Interesting history. In 1963 Congressman Herbert Sydney Herlong, Jr., a DEMOCRAT from Florida entered his concerns of 45 goals of Marxist influence over American education stemming from the Communist Manifesto. Some key points: #17 get control over the schools, use them as catalyst for socialist thought & behavior, soften the curriculum & get control over the teachers’ unions; #26 breakdown standards of morality by promoting pornography & obscenity in schools, present homosexuality as normal, healthy, & natural; #28 eliminate prayer & any type of religious expression; #31 belittle all forms of American culture & discourage the teaching of American history; & #41 emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Does any of this look familiar today?

THINGS TO REMEMBER

1.   Right is right, even if no one is doing it. Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it.

2.   There are two powers in the world—God (good) & Satan (evil). God speaks to you through your conscience & Satan speaks to you through your ego.

3.   Authority is not the truth. Truth is the authority. And whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority—it might be time to pause and reflect.

4.   Avoid those in life and media who claim to have the moral truth. Join instead with those who seek it through prayer & Scripture.  Trust me, I have NEVER been in a “moral war” when killing another human is acceptable.

5.   When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. Well when many people suffer from a delusion, it is called today’s progressive left society.
