SCRIPTURE & ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLES

I hear so many theologians say that Jesus said “I am the end of the law.”  NO…He said I am the fulfillment of the law in Matthew 5:17-18.  Again in Matthew 5:18 Jesus said, “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”

God’s moral law is unchanging & unchangeable.  The Sermon on the Mount brings some serious HEAT.  Let’s look at I Timoth 1:10 “ the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine…”. Throughout the entire Bible sin is defined as SIN.  Look at Genesis 19.  Genesis 19 is the most dramatic display of SIN.  Obviously in Genesis 1 God made man and women according to God’s will, constructed to COMPLETE one another in person, support, & in the flesh to procreate.  This, by design is unalterable, but Satan’s goal is to corrupt this in the flesh.  Genesis 3 we witness the fall of man to sin.  Genesis 12 we see adultery.  Genesis 19 we have incest.  Genesis 34 we witness rape.  Oh, it gets better—or worse—Chapter 38 we have prostitution.  Genesis is firmly planted in the patriarchy, but it is also firmly planted in sexual perversion.  Do you see?  This is NOT a new thing.

Genesis 19 features homosexuality.  Sodom is the city.  If we read Ezekial 16, Sodom was filled with all kinds of sin, immorality, & wickedness.  But none was more shocking than this—the two angels who came to visit Lot and his family.  What happened?  Lot knew who they were and immediately bowed down and invited them into his home.  Yet, the angels said, “No, we will spend the night in the city square.”  That’s like throwing two GQ models or Chippendale’s dancers in the middle of the gay pride parade.  These were magnificent ANGELS!!!  Lot fought them verbally, giving them the “that’s NOT a good idea speech.”  Lot fed them, protected them, & showed kindness to them as Heavenly visitors.  This is no different than what Abraham and Sarah did in Genesis 17 when they were visited.

Now get this.  This is how predatory homosexuals are.  They surrounded Lot’s house—young and old alike—preying on these glorious creatures.  They were so venomous in their approach, they called out to Lot and told him to bring them out so they could have “relations” with them.  This is how disgustingly perverse they were.

Lot plead with the crowd, DO NOT ACT WICKEDLY, it gets more intense and even wackier now, he even offered up his two virgin daughters!  How wacko is that plan?!!!  Interesting that Lot would sacrifice the purity of his own daughters before he would allow the angels of God to be defiled.  I don’t think he was thinking through the problem.  Do you REALLY think God’s angels couldn’t handle themselves?

So now, the men turned on Lot and critiquing him as a “judge” over them.  How dare you judge us?!  Is that any different than today when we call out sin?  They even went so far as to break the door.  Again, is that any different that we see in today’s morally broken society?  So, what happens, the angels get their God’s angel on and blind the men attempting to sexually assault them.  WOW.  Like I said, they really didn’t need Lot as they had it handled.  Eventually, blinded, they got tired of trying to find the doorway.  Can you imagine just being made blind and still wanting sexual pleasure making that more important than vision?  That is lust out of control.  Lust so compelling—so compelling that God eventually threw a thermo-nuclear lust debater at the entire city.  Hence the term Sodomy.

It first appears in I Kings 14:24 and Deuteronomy 23:17-18 wherein a “Sodomite” was defined as one who has carnal knowledge of one of the same sex.  Jude 6-7 is pretty clear: “And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day—just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.”

This sin is surrounded by guilt, loneliness, and emptiness.  It is purely physical without substance.
