IDENTITY POLITICS & RELIGION

Although NOT a fan of Thomas Jefferson, mainly because of his treatment of John and Abigail Adams in the press during his drive for Presidency and power. However, he WAS a great thinker and writer, mainly in his intellect and shaping of words to present ideas that were otherwise read or understood in political philosophy. I stand strongly by this statement: “In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.” This is a big ticket item for me spiritually, theologically, logically, and psychologically, as I stand my ground and will not be moved. The conclusions that I come to terms with is that identity politics is the selfish glorification, based solely on self, and founded on the most trivial and irrelevant traits—all un-Christian.
Being black, brown, yellow, grey, gay, straight, male, female, are simply NOT accomplishments—they are all solely as per God’s or Satan’s design depending on what Truth, Disinformation or Misinformation you ally with in this life of free will. And yet, here we are embroiled in a fundamentally stupid conversation. Our education system is teaching people to think of themselves as special, especially different, self-sufficient living off of others, all based on a completely false and phony victimology and narrative of victim identity.
I had a life violence for over 33 years as a combat Marine. I didn’t like it, and my heart would break every time I had deploy away from my children, but I made a patriotic oath under God. My enemy was simple…my enemy…my foe. I simply qualify it as if you wish to be my enemy and destroy me or my livelihood…then stand by…I will fight and hold my ground.
I have no compulsion to play with identity politics. Pound sand.
Identity politics fascinates me socially, psychologically, intellectually and theologically. Especially as a man as we are in the inferior and have no ground to stand on. Society and every HR department has made it so. This thought process in both life and religion of lowering the standards of excellence is such a damaging disparate destruction to our own civilization. Government and education lower standards to accommodate stupidity or lack of trying. Psychologists never fix the problem as they want a return customer to pay off their college loan. Government taxes for bigger and better programs that fix nothing just to retain control. Educators just want everyone to pass to elevate their data and make every kid feel “special.” And, most sadly, Pastors condone sin so everyone gets a free pass into Heaven. We are intentionally allowing the destruction of our civilization into a lesser self that what our Founding Father’s envisioned under the context of Scripture and a higher morality…and we are allowing government lawyers to do it without a single cannon or bullet being fired.
I simply question what I logically see. But woke politics and moral relativism in religion don’t allow that. Nor does our current law. Trust me, I have been groped, stroked, and touched more by more women that I can count. Men just stay silent about it and carry on quietly. A University of Michigan study shows the +40% of men who don’t report sexual assault by men or women. Go figure.
This woke identity politics is destroying the very fabric of our nation. Equal pay for unequal performance. The US once had one of the highest standards of education, whereas now, we rank globally 6th in reading, 13th in science, and 38th in mathematics and we spend more tax dollars than any other country. Big level preachers are given to performance art like a TED talk instead of compelling people to salvation and redemption.
I am attacked because I use words…words defined properly by Merriam-Webster dictionary that my father compelled me to read as a child. In today’s world people get fired and their lives forever altered without care because of hurt feelings. Do you want to know the only thing that hurts my heart? People willingly following a lie that will take them on the broad and easy path to Hell. I feel the same about big government and my tax dollars.
If the church did what God told it to do, my taxes would be far less. Here is the problem. I have people that come to me every week with an issue, to do laundry as they can’t afford the laundry-mat. People who need special diabetic shoes. Medicine. Emergency room and critical hospital visits. The list goes on. This week alone I addressed three separate issues of potential dangerous suicide ideations. They don’t even attend my church. I always ask them, why don’t you go to your priest or pastor? They all respond that they have no idea how to get ahold of their pastor nor have spoken to him or they have to get on the scheduled office hours. Office hours? Really? God and His comfort and wisdom is 24/7 and I’m his direct representative! Its day-on stay-on.
You see, we have dumbed down the ministry to be a vocation rather than a calling. My beloved bride heard the calling…she always has said, “All roads lead to Quincy.” No other woman I have ever known in my entire life has heard and answered that calling. I have an equal adoration of her that I have with God—a marriage and unbreakable union. You see, her identity is being a Christian wife. That is the only identity politics I wish to be associated with.
I warn you, woke identity politics is the insurgency of this century to our great Christian Constitutional Republic. To not fight against this is cowardice. Do your Christian and American duty of standing your ground against the ignorant horde. As my favorite Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas says: “Progressivism, in other words, is retrogressive.” Love that man!
Dang I put a lot of heat in this one. I don’t care as it is truth. Either you’re a “saint” or an “ain’t.” I think it was J. Vernon McGhee who said, “All of mankind is separated by the saints and the aints.” So sorry to my fellow priests and Catholic friends, but simply put, it you ain’t in Jesus Christ, then you’re an ain’t. But if we abide in Jesus Christ we ineed are saints. You get the choice…the beauty of Christianity. The “church” does not ordain sainthood. This does not exist anywhere in the Scripture. Sainthood comes under justification and sanctification through our faith in Jesus Christ. I don’t have to perform a miracle or some other magnificent event. Heck, Paul called the church at Corinth saints…then all of us who believe are indeed saints.
Here is my ground truth…at the end of my life and I stand before the final judge I want to boldly stand before God and tell Him that I didn’t waste precious time and that I used every talent and ability He gave me for His glory. The calling is day-on stay-on. TRUTH.
