WHAT & WHY DO YOU BELIEVE? IN GOD WE TRUST?
“In God we trust” is on our money, but can we really say that about those who we give it to? Let’s look at the evidence. American Christian evangelicalism has been conditioned to stay in a church where they are not being fed the meat of Scripture, much like an abused wife, they just stay because they don’t think they have an out. They are seeking the emotional high instead of a deeply planted taproot for strength and stability in the storm. We see the political and religious crisis in America that didn’t begin with Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump, or even others. I believe that millions of Americans were groomed for the precipice that we are on today long ago.
Much of this grooming began with the clergy every Sunday selling out to woke theories on race, gender, money, power, or control. Let’s look at the history of the church before you shut me down. In the 1970’s the “church” and denominations were increasingly organized around our own vision of America, leaning heavily into the political. By the end of that decade, the religious right became a formidable political agency. But then a shift happened. The church became more actively political rather than stressing moral issues and values that we assumed Christians would vote for. Please research how much each denomination gives to political parties from YOUR tithes and offerings, you will be alarmed. Organized religion actually donates to candidates that do not support Christian values.
There was something else occurring within American evangelicalism and it was the lock-step thinking that obedience to a charismatic leader, priest, pastor, or clergy was somehow a virtue. Nope, not me. I don’t consider anyone in my congregation wrong for questioning anything I say as the absolute truth unless we can agree that it is found in Scripture. My own understanding is always under question and continued scrutiny…that is learning and wisdom.
Here is where our religious psychological conditioning begins. I was always taught not to lean unto my own understanding, that the wisdom of man was foolishness to God, that my human heart was deceitful, and then in the same voice, that we are to trust a fallible man of the calling pontificating behind a pulpit. Boy, these are arguments I had with my father where I cut my teeth on pastoring and the calling. My dilemma was in even what I was taught in church or my parents said contradicted my own eyes.
Now let’s go forward 50 years of my life and I watch political and spiritual leaders stand before us and make statements that are spiritually, scientifically, historically, and in every way demonstrably false. The followers of the religion and political don’t abandon the leader—they abandon the evidence.
Satan attacks the institutions to hold us all accountable. As followers of spiritual or political leaders we don’t question their conduct. Rather, we will resort to questioning the legitimacy of the institution. Religious and political leaders present themselves as the sole person to represent the ability to save the nation—money, control, and power. Millions of people respond with a devotion that remarkably looks like any totalitarian regime or authoritarian denomination throughout society.
We have all seen this binge-worthy Netflix drama and the pulpit and politics become the political or spiritual rally with empty promises and false hope. The politicians are anointed as prophets and all opponents are heretics, and only perceived true salvation can be found at the ballot box. How stupid have we become?
The very same deeply religious families who espoused family values, sexual morality, honesty, personal responsibility, and the eternal sanctity of marriage, have ultimately magnified political and religious figures whose public conduct repeatedly contradicts these principles.
I am not just concerned about my own eternity, I am concerned about what we have allowed as Christians with our vote and from the pulpit. Mark my words, Satan is coming for us all. My father deeply preached against the feminist movement of the 70’s and was ostracized by other pastors. But he knew this evil would imbed in the church body, breaking gender, sex, marriage, life, destroy masculinity promote sexual promiscuity, pornography, sexual perversion, divorce, and abortion. I remember people leaving the church because he spoke of such things. Suffice to say, the demon was planted and in the most affluent churches.
What I have seen throughout my own ministry that would have certainly made my father do spiritual cheetah flips is the increased population and acceptance for transgenderism, alternate lifestyles, more perversions, addictions, and increased mental health issues. The church has continued the trend to minimize strong men in the home with divorce rates increasing in the church body, but also from behind the pulpit and in government.
The church has become the base for the socialist movement we see across our nation. Inclusivity, tolerance, completely obliterating the Christian virtues of holding people accountable. Look at the major churches’ stances on illegal immigration, same sex marriage, and so many other lies of Satan in the name of Christianity. We have allowed “do not judge” to be some strange mantra when Jesus tells us differently. The church stopped preaching and teaching the whole Word of God and put people in pulpits that would not offend or trigger anyone’s sensitivities.
This evil concept of socialism has ensured weak pastors and politicians that steal wealth and power from the strongest and healthiest men and gives it to the lazy and the most unintelligent and incompetent people within the structure. This is COMPLETELY counter Scripture as well as our Constitutional foundations.
Now watch what happens next as it is scary, granted, I’m not afraid because I have read and heed the Good Book and know how my story ends for my wife and I. NO FEAR. But using a great Jesus word “WOE” be to you who do not heed these words. These churches who have been filling their congregations with “do no harm suicidal empathy” are the very ones who condone the evil marriage of socialism, social justice, and Islam. Islam is already within friendly lines by loose governance to protect our borders, churches, and Western culture and civilization.
Somehow, we have allowed the church to straddle the fence on hot issues. My father never did, and neither will I. Please show me “the middle” in Islam, Communism, a life in Jesus or jihad. There is no Jesus factor in any of these so-called progressive liberal or fake religious agendas. There is simply right and wrong, good and evil, truth and lies, Heaven and hell, God and Satan—there is NO middle. So, what are we afraid of most? God or these creatures of the Devil?
We have lost our true sense of freedom. We get taxed on taxes, then taxed on Sunday to pay for the performance art, we even get taxed even in death. But, I KNOW that true freedom from all burdens ONLY comes by, through, and with Jesus. Either we do, or we don’t, and our eternity lies in the balance.
